Die-hard Beliebers were devastated when Justin Bieber shut down his Instagram account on Monday.
But not everyone has tears on their pillow.
The Canadian pop star, 22, was at the butt of hundreds of jokes, memes and GIFs after he deleted his account following a tantrum over negative remarks posted on images of him with his purported new flame, Lionel Ritchie's 17-year-old model daughter Sofia Richie.
The fiasco unfolded late Monday, when the Baby singer, fed up with an influx of pointed comments about his new relationship, gave his 77.8 million followers and other user of the site an ultimatum: leave her alone or I'm gone.

That drew his ex Selena Gomez out of the woodwork, and the two traded a few barbs.
It all adds up: @reIatableomg was among those who wept over Bieber walking away from an account with a follower total only a handful of people in the world can boast. Surely, Kim Kardashian wouldn't take that tack!

And boy, did it get a reaction: As of early Tuesday, thousands of social media users were rejoicing in his decision, sharing their delight under the umbrella hashtag, #JustinDeactivatedParty.
